Churches and other religious institutions need roofing repairs, maintenance and replacement just like any other building. Not only do such organizations have to keep their building in good repair, they must take every possible precaution to prevent injury to their congregations.
The problem with many religious institutions is the same one we all struggle with—lack of funds. Some have roofers in their congregations that volunteer their time and can get materials at cost but others have to shop around to get the best price.
Because funding is so hard to come by, many religious institutions get stuck with contractors who do less than stellar work. Check to see if the contractor has a good reputation and how long they have been in business. You can make sure your roof comes with a good warranty but it won’t do a bit of good if the contractor is out of business.
